Overview
Welcome to the 2025 BSI Ideas Lab! Building on the success of previous labs, we invite University of Michigan Ann Arbor faculty to engage in this unique multidisciplinary workshop focused on discovering innovative solutions to pressing challenges in the biological sciences. This year’s lab promises to connect brilliant minds across disciplines to catalyze groundbreaking research.
Call for Directors and Co-Directors
We are currently seeking dynamic leaders to guide the 2025 Ideas Lab. As a director or co-director, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the research challenge, selecting mentors, and leading the development of high-impact research projects.
How to Apply
- Letter of Intent (LOI): Interested faculty are invited to submit a two-page LOI detailing:
- The biological problem you aim to solve and its significance.
- The necessity for a multidisciplinary approach and Michigan’s unique advantages.
- The proposed leadership team structure including director, co-director, and at least four mentors.
- Submission Deadline: LOI must be submitted to Jennifer Ohren (jenohren@umich.edu) by July 1st, 2024.
